About Volunteering
About Volunteering with Designated Dawgs:
Designated Dawgs is a completely volunteer-based organization. Without the help of our dedicated volunteers, we would be unable to provide this service to the community. We are always in need of more volunteers – the more volunteers we have, the more rides we can provide and thus, the more lives we can save!
Designated Dawgs is a great way to fulfill required community service hours or build your résumé. A volunteer can normally complete anywhere between 3 to 7 hours of community service each night he or she comes out. Our first priority as volunteers is to make the Athens community safer by saving lives. However, our goal is to do so in a fun, unique environment that is different than any other community service experience you have had.
We are currently accepting applications for membership for the spring 2010 semester. If you are interested in volunteering please download and complete our application and drop it off at our cubicle (#26) in the CSO office on the bottom floor of the Tate Center or bring it to the Fred Building on a night of operations.
If you are unsure about becoming a volunteer, please come out to observe and/or volunteer to see what we’re about!
